Hi, I’m John — a lifelong illustrator, musician, and performer who’s spent the past 25+ years blending creativity with live entertainment.

I started my professional life as an event caricaturist and storyboard artist, sketching out hundreds of TV commercials and working on feature films for clients like Hasbro, Netflix, and Showtime. At the same time, I was gigging steadily as a bassist, playing more than a thousand shows over 15 years — many of them weddings and upscale private events. This dual career provided me with unique insight into the rhythm and nuance of live events — and how to read a room, engage a crowd, and help create moments people remember.

Today I work full-time as a live event artist, offering traditional caricatures, digital portraits, and roaming sketches at weddings, corporate events, galas, and private parties across New England. Whether I’m behind a sketchpad or an iPad, my goal is the same: to entertain with skill, style, and just enough wit to get a good laugh (and a great likeness).
